Susan Boyle – Britain’s got talent

Susan Boyle at her audition for Britain's got talent 2009
If ever we’d needed a wake up call as to how judgemental we all are about a person’s appearance, then Saturday night, 11th of April was the time to find out.
Susan Boyle, 47, from a small town in Scotland walked onto the stage with everyone believing she was going to become a laughing stock. Clips of the audience showed them covering their faces with their hands, and snidely giggling at her. The judges too had resigned looks of ‘let’s just get this over with.’
But the minute she started to sing, everyone was truly shocked. She had the voice of an angel.
Her videos on You Tube have been viewed in the millions of times and the press can’t get enough of her. You can see Susan Boyle’s audition here.
Along with another winner – Paul Potts – the ugly ducklings turned into swans once their voices were heard. Suddenly the looks weren’t important, it was just ‘the voice’ that mattered.
I don’t know if she’ll win, but I’m sure there’ll be a recording contract for her at the end of it, and I for one, won’t begrudge her a penny of the money she is sure to make.

I was completely shocked when I watched this show and Susan Boyle started singing. What a voice! If she doesn’t get a recording contract, there’s no justice in the world.
the voice of Susan Boyle is phenomenal and for me she is a great performer. too bad she was unable to make it to the finals.
