Message of the White Rose
A white rose displayed on it's own is traditionally symbolic of purity and secrecy. In medieval times it was usual for a single white rose to be suspended from the ceiling, when the conversation held beneath it would be conducted in complete privacy. All the other people in the residence would keep their distance, hence the expression "sub rosa"

Tip
The groom should have a buttonhole that incorpoates one of the flowers used in his bride's bouquet This is based on the right of the knight on going to either fight or to meet a challenge, would wear his lady's colours. See more about our traditions and superstitions.
